manifesto: to make your getting together with each other something different, someway more. not just music but all about the music; making you dance, making you stay out later. going for the magic of being right there in what's happening, with no hype, nothing elitist, everyone invited. plus giving back and being involved in making creativity happen.

I'm -still- looking to get a new space off the ground in New York City. A place for the kinds of things I do now, and a space for a lot of new ideas too. I want to make room for music and all the nighttime stuff plus daytime space used to help young people find their creative selves and open for other community charitable use.

If you want to get involved or know anyone who'd want to be involved, we need volunteers when things get off the ground.

But what we need for getting off the ground is investment. If you or anyone you know has nest egg you want to put towards a good thing, please get in touch with me. You will be instrumental and involved in creating something important and great (and profitable.)

I'm a one man operation, with a million amazing people helping out, however many nights a week. Greetings from Copán, Honduras - where it is sunny and sweaty and breathtakingly lush and beautiful and green in every direction; and all there is to do is look at fascinating ruins, eat cheap delicious food, then sit in idyllic plazas.

I'm currently sitting in an open air internet café looking onto the parque central, sleeping stray dogs and cats scatterred around below the computers. not a bad setting to get some internet work done.

About to head over the border to El Salvador, and then Nicaraugua - if anyone out there has advice or recommendations or hook ups with interesting people or places to meet and see in those places, drop me a line. Always down to see the local music scene in places I travel to, if anyone out there knows any awesome Honduran or Nicaraguan or Salvadoran bands or clubs or people who put on shows!

"Robert "DJ Sega" Taylor Jr. isn't your typical young bol. Only 20 years old, he espouses a knowledge of and enthusiasm for the finer points of music better than heads twice his age. Taylor's father DJ Brother Rob raised him on classic soul, and his obsession with music grew from there. "I love every genre, from classical to heavy metal," he beams. "I understand it and love it all. If you see me without my headphones, then I'm going through something and there's a problem." As a producer his stock has exploded with "Woo Hah!" and the track currently forcing kids to Wu-Tang their asses off, "Ghetto Hokey Pokey." Asked to describe the nuances that differentiate Baltimore, Jersey and Philly club music, Taylor breaks it down. "Baltimore club is more for the club scene. It's hype, and has a lot of horns," he explains. "Jersey club is a little more mainstream simply because they chop it up more to make remixes of mainstream hip-hop, and they use a lot of bass. Philly club has elements of both - without as many horns, and it also has a lot of bass. I try to add some soul to it too." Ever positive, Sega is a man with a mission, "I just want people to hear my music and feel whatever bad situation they're in either doesn't exist or won't be a problem for long. When you dance and hear music that makes you move, you get a feeling that it’s gonna be all right."" - Philly Weekly
